Nature Deficit Disorder (NDD) describes our lack of a relationship with the environment. Whilst not a medical condition, it affects our children and our environment. Luckily, the cure starts in our own backyard!

This is a three day expedition for teenagers, camping out and experiencing the fun and camaraderie of being in and connecting with the bush and with others their age. Along the way, guides will present them with some mental and physical challenges.

Stimulate their minds and bodies, get them away from the X-Box and Playstation and tackle NDD!

Participants have the opportunity to qualify for the bronze or silver Duke of Edinburgh Award program as part of this event. Visit The Duke of Edinburgh Award program for general information about the program.

Includes return transport ex Murdoch Park'n'Ride, Track map, comprehensive planning night, trip preparation manual, equipment hire and experienced guides. BYO food (advice given).

Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the 'new' Track after getting terribly lost on the 'old' Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

Hi everyone, I have been a member since 2009 when I completed an end-to-end through June and July. This inspired me to continue walking. Since then I’ve enjoyed many hikes short and long across the world like; NZ’s Great Walks, the Tour de Mont Blanc, and The Haute Route across the Swiss Alps. I look forward to many more. I hope to see you out there. The Bibbulmun Track is unique and I’d love to share my knowledge of it with you.

I enjoy the outdoors and have bush walked and been involved with the Bibbulmun Track and the Foundation for some time. Apart from being a volunteer guide I am also a maintenance volunteer.
