For Sale: Free - Used Mountain Design Backpacks, 75 litre & 65 litre
The Backpacks are now surplus to our requirements. They are in good condition with rain covers and travel bags (useful if sending the packs as checked luggage).
Being older, they are probably a bit heavier than current designs but are robust with multiple adjustment capability and comfortable to carry.
We are happy to give these to some Bibb Track walkers who need some equipment. Contact preferably by email. -
Wanted: Walking Partner Late May / Early June 2024
I am planning to do the whole track in 2024 end to end. I have done the Overland Track (twice) and Larapinta Trail. I will be 60 (agghh) when I do this walk but like a Welsh Highland pony, I will be plodding along and making distance to the next hut. I am seeking a similar self-sufficient and minded person who wants to do the whole thing with a minimum of fuss! I am NSW based but happy to share the adventure with anyone who has same goals…..

Lost: lost head torch
I dropped my head torch which is a torch with 2 lithium batteries in a case at the back of the headband .It fell out of my backpack because the zip at the bottom had not been done up properly (my bad) at the Chadoora Hut and possibly fell out at the hut or soon after on the track to Dwellingup. If anyone finds it they can keep it .

For Sale: Tyvek tent groundsheet
Tyvek is widely used as a groundsheet for protecting the bottom of your tent. It is breathable, super light-weight, waterproof but very tough.
It is made from high density polyethylene fibres and has a similar feel to paper with a high strength to weight ratio. See www.bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=23794&mobile=on for a discussion on the difference.
Sold per metre (by the whole metre) off a 2.7m wide roll.
61g per square metre, white.
$20 per metre for BTF members.
$25 per metre for non-members.Technical data sheet available at https://insulation.com.au/data-sheet-download?pid=4459.
This style (homewrap) is more waterproof, more durable and therefore longer lasting than the 1443r style of Tyvek (which is more suited to waterproof stuff sacks).
Please note that the Tyvek is not held at or sold through the Bibbulmun Track Foundation office.
