Hewett's Hill campsite was named after Peter Hewett, a former Superintendent of the Forests Department in the 1970's who was instrumental in giving the idea of the Bibbulmun Track  the green light.  The campsite is also the first campsite from the Northern Terminus.

This walk is for fit and experienced walkers only. The pace on this walk is generally faster and the breaks somewhat shorter than intermediate style walks. If you have any doubts please consider booking on an intermediate walk.

Hi folks, I have been a member with the Foundation since 1999 and became a volunteer guide after participating in the Walk with Dad event many years ago. See you out there!

Hello folks, I have been walking up and down the Bibb for 8 years. I have just recently completed my second end-to-end from Kalamunda to Albany as a solo walker. I really went out of my comfort zone and survived, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I have been a Track maintenance volunteer for several years ,initially in the Donnelly region whilst living in Bridgetown and now I am looking after the Murray Campsite now that I am in Perth. I have met some great friends on the Bibbulmun. The BTF has helped me achieve my Wilderness First Aid Certificate, Rogaining skills and training me up to be a Bibbulmun Guide. I am very passionate about the Track and love introducing others to it.

Hi all. As a mum of four sons, (now all in their twenties) I really treasure my time in the great outdoors! My enjoyment of bush walking began while growing up in SA, spending time around the volcanic lake areas of Mount Gambier, and also in the Gippsland region of Victoria. Nothing comes close to being able to leave the office and all its entrapments behind, and exchange it for some extended time on the Bibbulmun Track! See you out and about in the great outdoors.
