We had an awesome time with great guides and company, and will definitely be joining more events. Thank you so much smile Jenny and Matt

Two adventures wrapped up in one weekend!

This is one of our favourite events.  A fantastic walking and paddling weekend escape in Dwellingup.

Forget the heavy packs; enjoy a rewarding 14km walk on our Track with only a day pack.

You will have time to enjoy some of the local attractions and a fascinating tour of the historic Marrinup POW camp before a tranquil paddle down the Murray River.

I had no idea how much fun and value for money this weekend was until I did it!

Includes two nights accommodation in town with late check out, two continental breakfasts (other meals not included, our Friday night briefing is at the local cafe where we can have dinner), guided POW tour, experienced guides, canoe equipment and instruction. We have organised return transport for from Murdoch Park’n’Ride rail terminal as well as all transfers over the weekend for you.

Check what the event rating means for this walk.

Once you have booked, watch for the automated email with instructions on how to download the event information, or see our website help page.

COVID-19

If you choose to make a booking, you agree that you and anyone you are booking for will not attend the event if in the 14 days prior to the event you or they have:

  • been unwell
  • had contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19

This weekend was so much fun! Thanks so much, it was brilliant!

I never knew we had a POW camp here during WWII

Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the 'new' Track after getting terribly lost on the 'old' Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

I enjoy the outdoors and have bush walked and been involved with the Bibbulmun Track and the Foundation for some time. Apart from being a volunteer guide I am also a maintenance volunteer.

Hi everyone, I have been a member since 2009 when I completed an end-to-end through June and July. This inspired me to continue walking. Since then I’ve enjoyed many hikes short and long across the world like; NZ’s Great Walks, the Tour de Mont Blanc, and The Haute Route across the Swiss Alps. I look forward to many more. I hope to see you out there. The Bibbulmun Track is unique and I’d love to share my knowledge of it with you.
