Well the all kids have met the little animals on the Dr Dolittle Goes Bush (check it out in this Calendar), now it’s time for the big kids! An adults-only short walk (4km return) to a Bibbulmun Track campsite to see and learn about our native animals from the Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Bring a picnic supper and perhaps a glass of bubbly and stay on and enjoy the ambiance at the campsite. 1hr from Perth. Location given after booking. Great introduction for your non-walker friends!

Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the 'new' Track after getting terribly lost on the 'old' Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

Hi! I’ve been walking the Track since the late 90’s, and like many, started slowly along the big hill curve of learning. A warning: the Bib is addictive. To me, being in the bush is a form of meditation. The whole Track is my favourite section but I must admit to being very fond of sitting on top of Mount Cooke, watching the eagles circle the skinks, and just soaking it all in. I enjoy sharing my love of the Track with novice walkers so hope to see you out there soon.

Hi there. Chris here. Known as the Galloping Gourmet I love to get out onto the Track and cook up some wicked food on my fuel stove. I am a volunteer guide and also a maintenance volunteer. Come and join us on this walk.

Hi! I have been interested in the bush since an early age and have walked small sections of the Track since its inception. Early years were spent taking family and Scout Groups on weekends camping and bush walking. I maintain a section south of Collie and walking the Track has given me a great deal of enjoyment. I was part of the 10th Anniversary Walk when I completed my first end-to-end. Since this time I have spent many hours, volunteering in the office and leading walks to ensure others know and enjoy the Bibbulmun Track as I do. My favourite is to catch a bus and spend my friendship with the bush for some days and slowly come back, to where it may take me!
