General Comments
Northern section had been on my bucket list for years having done a number of southern sections with the kids and family over the years.Having driven past the track so many time in my years of driving it was a pleasure to complete. The varied wildflowers and scenery along the walk was incredible as the country and soil types changed.
Food/Supplies Comments
Shop bought Dehydrated meals some good and others not
Depending on brand. Cheddar cheese wrapped in bees wax cloth a winner. Good old porridge for breakfast and tuna/ salmon packs for lunch
Favourite Section
Hard to pick maybe Kalamunda to Dwellingup views from the hill tops and rocks and the timber forest plus history
Highlights
Last Day the morning beach swim Cosy Corner crossing the moving Torbay inlet and the views along the coast
Personal Reactions
Even though I had walked section in the past the end to end in a short period allowed me to take in the changes of the track and realise how lucky we are to have this in our back yard. Was perfect for my health .Was a little disappointed with the last 3 km into Albany after such a majestic day along the cost and thinking the entry statement could be greatly improved to match the end to such a special journey
Wildlife
Snakes mainly in the southern section and the different sixes and colours of the Roos
Your Best Equipment
My Deuter 45+10 backpack. Was even better when Irene (another E to Ender )adjusted it properly for me and my Gaiters
Your Worst Equipment
Maybe the sea to summit ultra light mattress very comfortable but very noisy
