General Comments

The walk was fantastic, met great people.  Glad to finish no later than September because the mozzies were coming out and did not have a tent.  Hope I can help maintain sections that were quite overgrown, 95% was well maintained.  I want to keep the track at world class level.

Food/Supplies Comments

Towns had good supplies, I slowly learnt as I went , what my favourite supplies were.

Favourite Section

They were all fantastic, hard to choose.  Walpole to Denmark had a great variety of landscapes.

Highlights

Meeting great people.  Learning life’s lessons, looking after your feet and receive/accept help whenever you can.  Don’t focus on your end goal, take it one step at a time and then you can look up and see your progress.

Personal Reactions

I had highs, lows,  great experiences, shelters were home.  I will return I think.  I loved it.  Want to give back.

Wildlife

Kangaroos, many birds (kookaburras my favourite), snakes! (south in Sept) quendas, possums, lizards, emus, didn’t find an echidna.  Feral footprints

Your Best Equipment

Backpack from Collie campshop and “Jesus"sandals from Collie Target.  My hat, $10 Yoga mat with reflective material from KMart

Your Worst Equipment

Cheap backpack from ebay.  My boots!

Advice for Others

Boots are overkill!! Reflective material on mat will make huge difference against cold.  Bring a machete, help maintain.  Take it easy you will get there. Eat! Eat! Eat!
