General Comments

James Roberts and myself trained very hard in the lead up hitting a few 200 km weeks. How the body would hold up on the Track was unknown, 600-700 km weeks (90 km days) was an experiment. I survived the experiment and most importantly was able to enjoy the adventure.

Food/Supplies Comments

Amazing support from Kyle Christie & Co. I was on a running buffet and sugar high for 2 weeks!

Favourite Section

Coming down Mt Wells was fast and fun trail, excitement was building to finish.

Highlights

All the support I received from random Bib Track walkers and Perth running community. The coastline between Albany - Denmark is spectacular, however the sand is relentless!

Personal Reactions

It was special to finish the Track on Anzac Day, which is the anniversary of the passing of my friend who battled cancer.

Wildlife

Lots of snakes. James Roberts my running bunny had to pull out at Pemberton. We discovered he had a dry snake bite that led to infection.

Your Best Equipment

Altra Olympus running shoes, no blisters and kept all toe nail.s

Your Worst Equipment

Steripen batteries drain so fast.

Advice for Others

The team you have around you makes the adventure.
