General Comments
I’ve spent a wonderful 29 days hiking the Bibbulmun Track. It has exceeded my expectations. So many wonderful memories: the silence of the forest in the north, the majesty and elegance of the Karri fores’t, the wonder of the ancient tingle forest followed by the wild and windy coastal section. The people I met along the way added to the experience and also knowledge of this track. I’m grateful to the trail creators, the current custodians, volunteers and donors. It truly is one of the worlds great hikes.
Food/Supplies Comments
I didn’t post any packages. I resupplied in Dwellingup (limited items needed), Collie, Pemberton and Walpole.
Favourite Section
Loved it all for different reasons.
Highlights
The stop at Donnelly River Village for mid-morning coffee and food was an absolute highlight. I loved the town and the friendliness of the general store staff.
Wildlife
Saw lots of snakes.
Your Best Equipment
I used everything I took with me. And all tried and tested and was suitable for this trail.
Your Worst Equipment
Ended up with a huge gas canister (475gm) which was all I could purchase at Kalamunda at the start.
Advice for Others
Just do it.
