General Comments

The entire walk was so spectacular but nothing beats the walk along the south coast. Dips in secluded beaches and watching shatles. Experienced some trail magic along the way - the Track always provides when you least expect it!

Food/Supplies Comments

Home dehydrated meals worked great! (Thanks to the Foundation for the dehydrator). Got IGA-xcitement in towns!

Favourite Section

Walpole to Peaceful Bay.

Highlights

Whales breaching at sunset for the final night on Track at Sandpatch camp lookout.

Personal Reactions

Seeing the coast for the first time was very moving - even in gale force winds and heavy rain!

Wildlife

Breaching whales, dolphins surfing the waves below the Albany wind farm, 4 bobtails, 1 legless lizard, 23 snakes ( mainly tiger), blue tongue skinks, countless roos and an emu chick.

Your Best Equipment

Sea to summit pillow and blaga tree walking stick.

Your Worst Equipment

Bengal spice tea.

Advice for Others

Take your time and don’t rush it! There’s so much to see along the way.
