General Comments
Fantastic walk through our wonderful bush, beaches and country side.
Food/Supplies Comments
Cooked, dehydrated and vacuum sealed our meals. Lots of work but you actually look forward to the evening meal and re-hydrated home cooked soup for lunch on the Track takes some beating.
Favourite Section
Tall timber sections around Pemberton, beach and coastal views from Northcliffe to Albany.
Highlights
Meeting, talking and learning from others on the Track.
Personal Reactions
Developed a deeper appreciation of our country.
Wildlife
Kangaroos, black cockatoos (white and red tail), emus.
Only signs of feral cats, pigs and foxes.
Too many snakes but I have to admit some of the big tigers were magnificent and all were only too happy to get out of my way..
Your Best Equipment
Being sectional walkers we had the advantage of improving our equipment by experience between hikes.
Your Worst Equipment
Forgotten all about it whatever it was.
Advice for Others
Regardless of age or perceived fitness level, borrow/buy a backpack and some basic gear and go for a walk.
You will amaze yourself and see a different world, only seen on foot at walking pace.
