General Comments
I was fortunate that one of our children (Allison) was willing and able to join me in an end to ender. More importantly though was the support that my wife provided by keeping the home fires burning and spoiling us beyond our expectation when we were able to meet up.
Food/Supplies Comments
Lots of planning went into developing the many food drops which were supplemented at the track towns. I still managed to loose 5 kg.
Favourite Section
Every section had its treasures but the majestic giant Karri trees are my favourite.
Highlights
After a month on the Track the feast brought to us in Pemberton was a memory that will endure. The simplicity of Track life made the simple pleasures that much more enjoyable.
Personal Reactions
The Track seems to bring out the best in those who choose to walk it. Despite the physical demands of the walk people were consistently friendly, generous and good company at the campsites.
Wildlife
Saw many of the expected animals and birds but also my first mainland quokka.
Your Best Equipment
Our LifeStraw in a drink bottle.
Your Worst Equipment
A specially purchased pair of boots were comfortable but the were downright dangerous on wet surfaces.
Advice for Others
If you get an opportunity to do an end to end walk - take it. It will be a rewarding adventure.
