General Comments

I’m glad I did it, though I feel it wouldn’t be possible without the shelters and water tanks and toilets, a big thankyou to all involved.

Food/Supplies Comments

I had Back Country for main meals for a while, cheese and biscuits for lunch, muesli bars and dried fruit for snacks, cuppa soup o so good when arriving into camp, cup of tea at night with a biscuit and sometimes chocolate. My food was mostly bumped on.

Favourite Section

The tingle forests, also walking into Northcliffe the beautiful shaded trees and lovely white flowers and being flat, also the trail magic we received from a local farmer who gave us fruit. When I first saw the sea..

Highlights

The kindness and encouragement of other hikers. The shelters at the end of a hard day.  The wild flowers.

Personal Reactions

I started the hike with a friend called Di, she pulled out at Balingup, I then joined Magdaleen ,Karla and Della, sadly Karla had to pull out due to injury at Donnelly River Village.  The Bibb was one of the most challenging and emotional things I have ever done. I think it was so hard also because the weather was terrible, rain, hail and wind a lot of the way.  Without the help from my new hiking companies,  now new friends and my lovely daughter, my family and friends encouragement I wouldn’t have finished.

Wildlife

Lots of kangaroos, birds, emu and 8 chicks and one other emu. We really didn’t see that much wild life and 3 snakes.

Your Best Equipment

Hiking poles.

Your Worst Equipment

To big of a bag on front.

Advice for Others

Do your homework on the Track, and train as much as you can especially walking up hills, as I tell you its up hill 90 percent.
