Towns are adequately spaced to replenish food stocks. Water was available at each campsite.

Meeting fellow hikers and sharing shelters with them. Impressive and varying scenery. Variety of wildlife.

Wildlife
Kangaroos, possums, bandicoots, whales, birds, lizards, snakes and copious flies and mozzies.
Your Best Equipment
Neoprene shearers belt - protected hips from backpack harness chaffing.
Your Worst Equipment
Motorcycle jacket between Collie and Pemberton - great for warmth but not 100% waterproof and very heavy when wet.
Advice for Others
Pack light, light and light - keep weight down to absolute minimum.
