General Comments
Wonderful experience to walk the complete track with my 4 children (1 son and 3 daughters) and 4 of my grandsons all walking different parts of the track with me.
Food/Supplies Comments
I had Freeze Dri Back Country cuisine, tuna and cracker snacks, nuts, licorice and chocolate bars.
Favourite Section
Favourite section was Donnelly River settlement to Northcliffe
Highlights
Mt Cooke, Murray campsite, Lake Maringup campsite, Mt Chance and the track from Denmark to Albany.
Personal Reactions
I hated the sandhill section from Mandalay. The thought of snakes and bees worried me a bit (allergic to bees).
Wildlife
I saw Kangaroos, emus, wild pigs, many birds, lizards and snakes.
Your Best Equipment
Walking sticks, water bladder and Trangia metho stove.
Your Worst Equipment
Boots - started the track in boots bit changed to sneakers which suited me better.
Advice for Others
Take your time, Don’t rush.
