General Comments
The Bibbulmun Track is very addictive. Whenever I come home from it, within a couple of days I am looking forward to going out there again. Many thanks to all those were or are involved in making the Track what it is. I enjoy the Track so much that I have decided to offer my services as a maintenance volunteer.
Food/Supplies Comments
As my end to end was sectional, the longest walk being 11 day which took me through Collie, food and supplies were not a problem.
Favourite Section
Probably Dwellingup to Balingup when everything finally came together with weight, bulk and contents of my backpack.
Highlights
It is hard to pick a particular highlight, so I would have to say that the whole Track was a highlight.
Wildlife
Emus, many kangaroos, bobtail lizards, various birds, spiders with their webs across the Track and snakes including the one reared up, looked at me and then turned and went into the scrub.
Your Best Equipment
Walking poles, gaiters, ‘Find me Spot’ which allowed me to let people at home know each night that I was OK and allowed friends to follow me on their computers, my Hennessey Hammock which is both light and comfortable. And of course the Guide Books.
Your Worst Equipment
Once I knew what I was doing, I had no worst equipment.
Advice for Others
Don’t procrastinate Like I did, if you want to walk the Track, get cracking. Pack light and as they say, “If you think you need it, don’t pack it.” Finally, listen to advice that other walkers offer, and decide if it is helpful.
