General Comments
An absolutely fabulous adventure, can’t get over how lucky I am to have been able to see such diverse countryside, magnificent wildflowers, fabulous coastline and the opportunity to meet other walkers who were generous in their encouragement.
Food/Supplies Comments
I had dehydrated a variety of meals which worked well. I especially enjoyed having brekky in bed each morning.
Favourite Section
Can’t choose one - there were too many highlights.
Highlights
Camping prior to Mt Dale - watching sunset over Mt Dale. Then a full moon rise up through a valley - to be capped off by waking to the bird’s dawn chorus and watching sunrise. What a trifecta.
Personal Reactions
This was a great adventure, a promise kept to Mark to walk it, for him, but a great healing time for me. I never doubted I’d reach Albany even when I had a hip mutiny.
Wildlife
The first Echidna I’ve seen, 16 snakes and fabulous birds
Your Best Equipment
My walking poles or TL’s (Trainer Legs) without which I would have been lost - close second best a flynet.
Advice for Others
Just do it - one step at a time and stop and enjoy as you go.
