General Comments

Indescribable, really… I felt that all the beauty somehow made its way inside me. Its there when I close my eyes. Every step walked is in my body. The solitude was difficult at times but also told me many things.

Food/Supplies Comments

I love track food! Porridge and custard combo, salads of raw cabbage, nectarines and spices, mountain bread dipped in Nutella.

Favourite Section

Pingerup Plains through to Peaceful Bay.

Highlights

Meeting the Southern Ocean in all its wildness and beauty, and immensity; encountering Track Angels in all their guises; glimpses of surrender and huge joy.

Personal Reactions

I realised with embarrassment what a silly and huge agenda I had on setting out! I was nice to gradually let it go.

Wildlife

I never got over how pretty the kangaroos are; got used to snakes; loved the Torbay quenda and the tiny birds.

Your Best Equipment

Mozzie net and balga flower-stalk poles.

Your Worst Equipment

Aerogard cream that had to be applied with hands; bitter, very bitter.

Advice for Others

Speak kindly to yourself at all times, fully feel into all the experiences without judging them, find your breath.
