General Comments
The system shelters and the good state of the Track in most places are a real credit to those concerned. It is also good that many access points can be reached by public transport.
Food/Supplies Comments
Not a problem as only walked 8 day stages at most.
Favourite Section
Mandalay Beach to Denmark.
Highlights
Southern coastal scenery, especially where granite slabs meet the sea; the karri forests; the spring flowers.
Personal Reactions
The Track provides a relaxing experience of the Australian bush and coast with good walker facilities.
Wildlife
Not quite as much as I expected, apart from birds. Some kangaroos, a couple of emus and a fair few tiger snakes in the south.
Your Best Equipment
My Macpac Cascade backpack. The rain jacket I had when caught in an unseasonal two day deluge between Lake Maringup and Northcliffe.
Advice for Others
Walk it in sections rather than all at once if you can.
