General Comments

What a hidden treasure is our Track.  More of a challenge than expected, especially the blisters.  Carrying a 20kg pack for 47 days certainly tests out the body.  The rewards were and are numerous.

Food/Supplies Comments

Our end to end workshop and advice from friends who had completed the Track were invaluable - did not go hungry.

Favourite Section

South coast especially Walpole to Chatham Island.

Highlights

Mundaring to Mt Dale profusion of wild flowers.  Donnelly River and the karri forest. South coast and all those snakes (quite serene).

Personal Reactions

Saw more snakes in the last 6 weeks than the previous 50 years.  There were magnificent.  Met many Track pilgrims and ferals who were interesting and engaging - lots of fun.  Great to be able to spend 50 days with my sweetheart walking.

Your Best Equipment

My last pair of boots (bought in Bunbury @ Mountain Design),  thanks Vanessa.

Your Worst Equipment

My second pair of boots, (lasted 4 days) went through 3 pairs.

Advice for Others

Buy new boots, 2 months before an E2E and have them properly fitted when you buy.  Then do about 200 km of training with a full pack.
