General Comments
Even though this was my second E2E I still learnt more ways to improve my gear and walk. Loved all the changing scenery and wild flowers along the way
Food/Supplies Comments
I cooked and dehydrated all our meals and avoided any commercial food. Loved the variety we had. We ate very well but probably had too many trail snacks.
Favourite Section
Loved waking into Balingup. Also the Tingle Trees.
Highlights
When my husband did his Trail Angel visits. Enjoying the bird life and flowers.
Personal Reactions
Even though I had done the walk in 2016, I couldn’t remember a lot of it.
This was going to be my solo walk but a friend joined me instead. The company was great but I often felt I was not doing my own hike. I still want to see if I can handle the mental side of a solo hike.
Wildlife
Loved all the birds. Didn’t see an echidna though. Too many snakes down south. 11 in one day!
Your Best Equipment
LOVE my Aarn back pack and the matching Water Wizard. I also decided I could afford to carry a Helinox Zero chair. Loved that too.
Your Worst Equipment
I didn’t have any equipment I hated. Although others may not have liked my noisy sea to summit mattress
Advice for Others
Be well prepared and do a lot of planning. Eating healthy, interesting meals will be more enjoyable and will provide better fuel.
