25th Anniversary Core Walker
General Comments
I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to complete this Celebration walk with a group of super humans. Along the way we met dozens of wonderful people who contribute to the maintenance & welfare of the track in some way.
Food/Supplies Comments
We were very spoilt by Trail angels who surprised us on the track and delivered scones, jam & cream and other special treats such as soup, fruit cake, wine & nibbles. We still ate all our track food though!!
Favourite Section
I can’t really decide on a favourite section because I have never been to WA so there was a “wow moment” for me every day. The Tingle forest made me cry it is so beautiful and the majesty of coastline took my breath away.
Highlights
I was able to share a small section of this hike with my daughter Steph.
Seeing for the first time some of the most precious and delicate flora on our planet!!

Wildlife
Loved them all….Frogs, Black cockatoos, snakes, kangaroos, echidnas, seals, whales, bird life, lizards. Bloody fantastic!!

Advice for Others
Have a crack at it.
Visit all the little towns along the way if you need a break. Take the opportunity as these towns and their people are fantastic.
Take some time to “smell the roses”, stop and look around you!!
