General Comments
Life changing adventure. Loved it
Food/Supplies Comments
I cooked and dehydrated all my own meals and posted resupply packs to the visitor centres in the track towns
Favourite Section
The south coast from Walpole through to Albany. It did help that the weather was really good during this time.
Highlights
So many.
Walking off Mt Wells in the mist, watching seals play in the sea near Peaceful Bay, my barefoot walk along Mazzelotti beach. I could go on and on
The weight loss has been huge, so pleased, I needed it(my pants even fell down one day)
Personal Reactions
I came off track yesterday and am still processing.
I am not the same person that started seven weeks ago and am embraceing the changes so far
Wildlife
Brilliant. Loads of roos, saw at least 15 brush wallaby, dolphins, whales, seals, quenda, possums and snakes.
The bird life was incredible
Came across two herds of feral pigs and even a feral cat. Lots of cat prints on the southern section of the track
Your Best Equipment
My trusty Leki poles. Helped me all the way.
Special mention for my Hoka Speedgoat 5 trail runner shoes. Not one blister on the trip
Your Worst Equipment
My camp clothing pants. They were just not warm enough
Advice for Others
Get out there and do it! One night or sixty three, it doesn’t matter
