Wonderful track, such a variety of landscapes and flora.
Great signage, loved the shelters and visiting the towns.

We did our walk in two parts.
Kalamunda to Ballingup 8/2022
Ballingup to Albany 8/2023. This worked well for us.
Favourite Section
Northcliff to Walpole.
Highlights
Loved the big trees, loved the Pingerup plains puddles with flowering plants and fat tadpoles. Also loved the coastal heath with WAs amazing banksias.
Personal Reactions
Loved being outside for weeks. Amazed at all the experiences you can fit into a day when walking.
The shelters began to feel like home every night.They saved us from many a storm.
Wildlife
Not as much as expected. Parrots in the north. Lots of tadpoles and frogs. Lots of tiger snakes in the south.
Your Best Equipment
Not equipment, but the best thing I took was my husband. It was great to enjoy the experience with him.

Just do it.
Spend time in the towns.
Start with a section and you will be back for more.
