General Comments
Amazing experience overall. So many amazing views (just as well given the climb up some of the mountains:D) There’s something really rewarding about setting an ambitious goal and achieving it. Also, so many awesome people I met along the way.
Food/Supplies Comments
Food is really heavy and I noticed a massive difference in pace between when I was coming to the end of my food and when I picked up my food drop. I definitely didn’t plan the food as well as I could have in terms of food weight.
Favourite Section
I loved the karri forest between Donnelly and Pemberton
Highlights
Seeing an echidna, Irwin Inlet canoe crossing, massive fallen tree bridges near Pemby.
Wildlife
The top two sightings were an echidna and whale.
Your Best Equipment
New down sleeping bag was a life saver.
Your Worst Equipment
My rain jacket i started with wasn’t even remotely waterproof leading to a few cold and wet days. Thankfully I got a new one for the south coast.
Advice for Others
Every kilometre and every hill you do today is one less tomorrow. Make the most of each day - it will eventually come to an end. And expect to be wading between Northcliffe and Walpole
