General Comments
Thanks to all BTF-volunteers and workers! You do a great job and you made it possible that I could do/walk the Bibb-Track from E2E!
Food/Supplies Comments
I have bought on the go, went in the supermarket, grocery store and Visitor Center… and if you are flexible… it works
Sure, now that I know, that some dehydrated meals tasted good, I would post some to the Visitor Centers or ask if they have it.
Favourite Section
There is no favorite section… the South Coast is amazing, but the sandy dunes are challenging, then comes the bush and the Giants with shadow, the flat swampland, Donnelly is also beautiful an on the last long section after Dwellingup I wanted for the hills - go up and down and have more beautiful views!
Highlights
Hard to say… the ocean, nature, the calm, to meet kind walkers on the way and in the shelters…
Personal Reactions
I’m glad that I had the courage to walk my first E2E, to walk through the Western Australian Bush, through Nyoongar Boodja, and to have no fears. I recognized that I’m a slow walker… I need time in the morning, to walk and to set up the tent and to relax, so on long distances on a day I can’t walk at my pace… sometimes I wished I could more often walk at my pace, more linger around This is what I have to look out for all my next long-distance-walks in the future.
Wildlife
Is not as terrifying as wise Europeans think… I saw some… but not a lot… snakes, kangaroos, birds, spiderwebs, one lizard, a big grey heary spider and some big emus - two big emus run toward me at one morning and I thought to myself, oh wow, it’s a little bit like Jurassic Park
Your Best Equipment
Some things work really good… my ultralight Gossamer Gear Packback, I like my small Victorinox with a small scissors, the cosy sleeping socks
Your Worst Equipment
Maybe the squeeze mattress with the small shape where is not really space for the legs/feet… I will have a normal straight and quiet mattress
Advice for Others
Walk at our pace an enjoy everything that is possible - a good planning ahead helps to be more relaxed on the go (if you don’t have much experience), towards the end of the Track I got tired physically and also mentally.
