General Comments

Such an amazing experience - I had no expectations on completing an E2E, just thought I would start and see how far I could go, but I got fitter the further I walked so was delighted to complete the whole walk.

Favourite Section

Difficult to decide but I think between Northcliffe and Donnelly River was pretty special.

Highlights

Walking through the giant tingle forests on the South Coast and being able to witness amazing sunrises and sunsets nearly everyday.

Personal Reactions

I meet lots of wonderful and interesting people along the track - everybody doing the walk for the own special reason.  I also had 16 shelters to myself over the walk, I didn’t expect this considering it was peak hiking season (but I didn’t mind!)

Wildlife

Lots of birdlife but disappointingly not many animals or reptiles.  What I did see in the way of animals were kangaroos, a couple of snakes, feral pigs and a cat :-(

Your Best Equipment

The GSI Java Drip coffee maker, once I perfected the technique it made the perfect coffee.

Your Worst Equipment

My new hiking poles which broke after a couple of weeks into the walk - luckily I could swap them out with my trusty old cheap ones that I should have just taken anyway.

Advice for Others

If you can -  give it a go!
