Nyingarn Bidi Easter Adventure

Booking Form

Oh no! This event has filled up so quickly! Hop on our waiting list and we'll let you know when a place comes up!

This Easter we unveil the latest addition to the Bibbulmun Track – the Nyingarn Bidi circuit trail. Drawing from the Noongar language, "Nyingarn" translates to echidna, while "Bidi" signifies path or trail. The Nyingarn Bidi is a thoughtfully designed trail that connects with the Bibbulmun Track, creating a three-day, two-night loop walk. What makes this journey even more exciting is that it commences and concludes in the trails hub heaven of Dwellingup.

Embark with us on a remarkable journey where the Murray River rhythmic rapids echo the force of nature and serene pools beckon you for a refreshing dip at the end of a day's walk. As you traverse the flat, abandoned railway tracks, envision the bygone era when bustling steam trains occupied the very ground beneath your every step. Conversely, the steeper hills that provide a challenge in the Murray River Valley will focus attention on the changing nature of the Australian bush and how well deserved a rest at the next campsite will be.

Our experienced Bibbulmun Track guides, seasoned in the nuances of this iconic trail, will accompany you throughout.

Our adventure unfolds over Easter with nights spent beneath the stars at Chadoora and Swamp Oak Campsites. Each day encompasses a 13km to 20km trek, totaling approximately 50km over the entire walk. We commence our journey with an early start on Good Friday, concluding our memorable hike shortly after lunchtime on Easter Sunday.

While prior overnight hiking experience isn't a prerequisite, a reasonable level of fitness is recommended to enhance your overall enjoyment of the trek.

Get ready for an unforgettable exploration of nature and landscapes that make trekking with the Bibbumun Track Foundation truly special.

Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the 'new' Track after getting terribly lost on the 'old' Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

Hi guys, I have been a member since 2009 when I started my sectional end-to-end. Since then, I’ve enjoyed many hikes on the Bibbulmun Track as well as tracks in Tasmania, NZ and Europe. I love the diverse experiences hiking can give you and I am looking forward to sharing my passion for it with you.
