General Comments
I’ve really enjoyed the challenge over the last seven years. Companionship with fellow walkers and has been a highlight. We are very privileged to have such a marvelous facility in our backyard.
I especially enjoyed and appreciated the company and encouragement of the Rae Team, on and off the track. Thanks Ian, Leigh, Fay, Gaz, Bill and Sue. Thanks also to my wife for being so understanding.

Noodles are great when you get in to camp.

Blackwood to Balingup (Before the fire).
Highlights
Seeing a part of WA you would never usually see. Companionship with fellow walkers. Father son bonding.
Personal Reactions
A fantastic challenge which has developed into a lifelong passion to walk and volunteer on maintaining. I had a great walk with my son Daniel from Dwellingup to Gringer Creek. I hope he develops a similar desire to complete the track as some stage.
Wildlife
Mainly kangaroos, birds and plenty of spiders (and their webs).
Your Best Equipment
Keens boots (The bit of kit I kept for the longest time without upgrading).
Your Worst Equipment
My first backpack.
Advice for Others
If you’re going to do much walking, invest in good equipment. Take as little as you can get away with.
