General Comments

The all round experience was fantastic, I learnt a lot about the track, ran into some really interesting people & got more than I expected out of the trip.

Food/Supplies Comments

Its really good if you can cook your own meals. I found from many comments from other walkers they just put up with their food. At the end of a hard days walking getting a nice meal is really satisfying.

Favourite Section

Reaching the Beaches near Walpole was a great reward walking Southbound.

Highlights

Running into Tiger snakes regularly down south, climbing the Gloucester Tree near Pemberton. Reaching the halfway point, reaching the 2/3 point. Track Town fresh meals. Finish Line!

Wildlife

Was really good to see such a diverse amount on wildlife on the way down. Getting up early tends to be a good reward. You will run into more wildlife than other walkers will do if you are ahead of them out of the hut.

Your Best Equipment

Walking Sticks are / were very handy I found in the hills.

Your Worst Equipment

Apparently my billy was the worst, as pointed out by another walker, very grateful. Its too heavy! - being enamel. Will be buying a lighter weight one for future treks.

Advice for Others

Be nice to other walkers & listen to what they have to say about diversions / track conditions. Trail kindness pays dividends. It will make your day a lot more easier / comfortable / enjoyable.
