General Comments

I struggled at the beginning and thought I was not cut out for a big walk but became fitter as we progressed. By the time we got to the end I did not want to finish!

Food/Supplies Comments

We dehydrated all our food and had a selection of vegetarian dishes for dinner. We had a great group of people who did food drops for us and brought us some lovely treats. We consumed large amounts of chips and cakes in towns just to keep us going of course.

Favourite Section

I enjoyed the whole Track as it is so varied ,however Boardinghouse to Beavis stands out as a memorable day to me as the weather was just right and the vegetation was lush and green with lots of flowing water and ending up at Beavis campsite which for me is my favourite.

Highlights

climbing the peaks and seeing the views. All of the animals we came across which included bats and an injured owl.. even the snakes at the end ! Wading thru all of the water and seeing the millions of tadpoles. Seeing the ocean for the first time.

Personal Reactions

I was suprised at how fit i became and how I got used to carrying my pack which was a total contrast to the feeling of not being able to manage at the beginning

Wildlife

We saw lots of birds, kangaroos, wallabies, snakes, a quokka, a quenda, an owl, bats, bobtail lizards and a fox.

Your Best Equipment

my sticks

Your Worst Equipment

a new pair of socks as they fell apart in no time! and sleeping mat sprouted several holes.

Advice for Others

Pack as light as possible and don’t forget some treats. Relax and enjoy!
