General Comments

You definitely do see different things coming back the other way and doing it in winter was a new experience.

Food/Supplies Comments

Carrying fresh food on shorter legs is well worth the extra weight (eg cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, etc.) Food drops worked fantastically well.

Favourite Section

Too many.

Highlights

Sunrise at Torbay.  My step-dad came to Gringer Creek for a visit.  The brief moments the sun shone.

Personal Reactions

I want to do it again!

Wildlife

Fungi - all forms and colours.  Seals at Peaceful Bay, scarlet robins.

Your Best Equipment

Tent, sleeping bag & mat, stove, pack, head torch.

Your Worst Equipment

Fleece jumper - should have carried a down jacket.

Advice for Others

Food drops are worth it.  Slow down and enjoy the actual hike.  Don’t rush from a to be like so many do, obsessing over the kilometres instead of absorbing the moment.
