General Comments

Walking the Track has been such an amazing adventure, a real challenge in every way, I’m really proud of my achievement and really pleased to have raised over $3200 for the Brooke hospital for animals.  Thank you to the BTF, DEC and all.

Food/Supplies Comments

Craved my fresh fruit, salad and vegetables but successfully carried enough food and put on weight.  I set off with planned food drops but found all the towns had enough to restock and top up.

Favourite Section

Rame Head to Peaceful Bay.

Highlights

Amazing kindness and generosity and hospitality from those I met along the way.  Kangaroos and wallabies at Donnelly River Village and I loved the coastal views when the weather was kind enough to reveal them.

Personal Reactions

A real sense of achievement, its been a great opportunity to live life rather than work and to reflect on things.

Wildlife

I loved the blue splendid wrens and kangaroos but definitely still nervous of snakes.

Your Best Equipment

Walking poles, sleeping bag and silk liner.

Your Worst Equipment

Spark lighter - useless if the metho was cold - reverted to matches.

Advice for Others
