General Comments

Got a lot of pleasure & satisfaction out of my 8 weeks, spent 30 nights by myself, good for the mind.  Thankyou to all involved with the Track and a special thankyou to my friend Trish for walking 2 sections with me.

Food/Supplies Comments

Posted dried vegetables ahead and bought the rest local - also picked up full food parcels at North Bannister.

Favourite Section

Mandalay Beach & Mt Cooke.

Highlights

Watching whales in the Southern Ocean. Always enjoy Mt Cooke and my reception at Kalamunda.
Low light - looking at the Track as it disappeared into the Donnelly River not once but 5 times north of One Tree Bridge.

Personal Reactions

After a disappointment of pulling out at Northcliffe last year going north to south due to a beesting.  I had a great feeling of satisfaction this time.

Wildlife

Two snakes - some roos - heard pigs but did not see them, lots of small birds at campsites.

Your Best Equipment

With all the water that went into my Scarpas, they have to be my heroes and only one blister.  Loved my MSR cooker - my trusty Leki’s and my Hubb Hubba tent.

Advice for Others

If it is stormy at Irwin Inlet don’t try it, managed to give myself quite a scare.  Stop & put your tent up.
