WA to Host the World Trails Conference in 2026
The Bibbulmun Track Foundation is thrilled to announce Perth has secured the rights to host the World Trails Conference in 2026. This prestigious event will occur on October 19–22, marking the first time it’s held in the Southern Hemisphere.
Under the theme “Trails for the Future: Connection, Culture and Conservation,” the conference will bring together up to 600 trail professionals, Indigenous leaders, conservationists, and policymakers from around the globe. Delegates will engage in field workshops, keynote presentations, and cultural experiences that highlight the deep connection to country nurtured over 65,000 years.
Hosting the World Trails Conference in WA provides a unique opportunity to showcase the Bibbulmun Track alongside other world-class trails like the Munda Biddi Trail. It underscores our commitment to preserving and sharing the rich cultural and environmental heritage of our region.
Alongside Outdoors WA, we look forward to welcoming trail enthusiasts and experts from around the world to experience firsthand the beauty and significance of the Bibbulmun Track and the broader Western Australian trail network.
