Turn Containers Into Support for the Bibbulmun Track
We’re delighted to share that during the 2024/25 financial year, our supporters raised $595.70 through Containers for Change! Your continued generosity is helping turn everyday drink containers into meaningful support for our work.
What Is Containers for Change?

Donate through the Containers for Change scheme.
Containers for Change is Western Australia’s container‑deposit scheme. It enables you to return eligible beverage containers — plastic, glass, aluminium or paperboard bottles, cartons and cans (between 150 mL and 3 L) — to authorised refund‑points, and receive a 10‑cent refund per container.
If you prefer, you don’t have to take the refund for yourself — you can instead donate your container refund to a charity, community group or organisation. Participating causes receive the refund directly when you quote their registered “member number” at the refund point.
How Your Support Makes a Difference
Thanks to supporters who collected containers and donated their refunds:
We’ve diverted dozens (even hundreds) of drink containers from landfill and prevented litter — replacing waste with value.
The money generated (even modest amounts like $595.70) goes directly towards our programs, helping support trails, conservation efforts or community initiatives.
By engaging with Containers for Change, you also join a broader movement in WA that has already recycled billions of containers — improving recovery rates and supporting social enterprise and employment across the State.
Thank You — and How You Can Help Again
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated containers to our cause in 2024/25. If you haven’t already — or if you’d like to do it again — it’s very simple:
Collect eligible beverage containers at home, at work or after events.
Take them to any Containers for Change refund point (you can use their app or website to find the nearest one).
Quote our organisation’s “member number” when you return the containers — and choose to donate the refund instead of claiming it yourself: C10279038
All together, small acts like this add up — one container at a time.
Thank you for helping turn empties into support, and giving hope to the environment and community.
