Tales from Other Trails – Members Night

Step beyond the Bibbulmun Track and join us for an evening of stories, insights and shared love of walking.

Tales from Other Trails is a special members night bringing together our community to hear about walking experiences beyond Western Australia. Whether you’re planning your next adventure or simply enjoy a good track story, this relaxed evening is a chance to connect, learn and be inspired.

We’re delighted to welcome two engaging guest speakers:

Kathleen Broderick, BTF Chair, will transport us to Taiwan with her talk on the Bibbulmun Track Friendship Trail, the Raknus Selu Trail.

Amanda Kendle, host of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast, will share reflections from her journey along Japan’s Basho Trail, exploring the cultural and personal moments that make walking overseas so memorable. Venturing beyond the well-known tourist routes, Amanda retraced parts of Matsuo Bashō’s historic journey from The Narrow Road to the Deep North, exploring a quieter, more reflective side of Japan’s landscapes and culture through walking.
