Missing person – can you help?


WA Police are re-appealing for public assistance to locate 27-year-old man Samuel Robert WHITSED, for whom they hold welfare concerns.

On 23 April 2026 police received information Mr WHITSED may have travelled from Victoria to Western Australia.

Inquiries reveal Mr WHITSED was last seen walking towards the Bibbulmun Track on Brookton Highway, near Albany Highway, in Armadale on Wednesday, 18 February 2026.

Mr WHITSED was carrying various camping items and information indicates his intent was to travel along the Bibbulmun Track. He is believed to have travelled along the Bibbulmun Track from Brookton Highway to Mundaring.

He is described as approximately 170-180cm tall, of slim-medium build, with short brown hair, a beard and moustache. He was last seen wearing black trousers, a red t-shirt or light-coloured jumper, and slides.

Anyone who sees Mr WHITSED or has information relating to his whereabouts or recent movements should contact police immediately on 131 444.
