Event Recap: Tales From Other Trails

What a fantastic evening! Our event with Lari & Hedley was a great success, filled with laughter, awe-inspiring stories, and a room buzzing with excitement about future adventures.

Guests were treated to a vivid retelling of Lari & Hedley’s extraordinary journey along the Israel National Trail, a route that weaves through history, culture, and landscapes as varied as the stories that have shaped them. 

The Q&A session was great to see and engaging to all who attended – we learnt a lot from Lari and Hedley through thoughtful questions from the audience, showing just how deep the wanderlust runs in our community.

From there, the adventure continued through Eastern Europe’s Via Transilvanica, Romania’s newest long-distance trail. The tales of traditional village life, encounters with wildlife, and the warm embrace of local hospitality brought this lesser-known path to life in vivid color.

A heartfelt thank you to Paddy Palling, who generously handed out some excellent prizes—much to the delight of our guests. And of course, enormous thanks to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your dedication and energy made the evening not only possible but truly special.
