Diversions & Other Impacts
Prescribed burn diversion
Location: South of Schafer campsite
The Bibbulmun Track is currently closed for 13km due to prescribed burning.
A 12km diversion is in place which follows Karri Hill, Lane Poole and Wheatley Coast Roads.
Walkers should exercise caution walking along these roads, especially Wheatley Coast Rd, as they are open to public traffic.
The original route will remain closed until declared safe.
For your safety stay on the marked diversion, adhere to and follow all signage and instructions from Parks and Wildlife and other emergency staff.
Walkers should be aware of fire operations vehicles and other traffic in the area.

Campfire bans in place
Location: At Warren and Schafer campsites
Campfire bans are now in place at all campsites in this section (Warren and Schafer campsites).
No open fires may be lit whatsoever.
Walkers must use only fuel stoves for cooking.
The campfire ban will remain in place at least until March 2019 and may be extended depending on weather conditions.
On certain days, a total fire ban may be in force where walkers are not permitted to light a fuel stove either.
