"Emergency Rainponcho" (plastik) - purchased for 4 $ in the Dwellingup Visitor Centre after discovering with the first downpour that my fancy "ultralight" rain jacket couldn't cope with the pressure of the backpack straps on my shoulders. Thanks to the poncho I as well as my backpack stayed dry over 2.000 km.

Availability of information: Excellent
Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Great - I loved the abundance of Black Cockatoos (Red-tailed as well as Carnaby's). In comparison to 2013, when I did my first end-to-end, their numbers seem to have multiplied.
