Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsI dedicate this "Bib" to Bertrand, who launched this adventure at just the right moment in my life. The Bibbulmun Track was a wonderful experience for me. It exceeded all my expectations. The benefits, both physical and psychological, are immense and lasting. And as a bonus, fantastic encounters.
Your Best Equipment
The backpack. Comfy, versatile. The walking poles, it would have been really painful and traumatic without them.
Your Worst Equipment
Nothing really bad. Next time, though, I’d take shoes with better cushioning and a rain jacket instead of the poncho, which catches the wind. And, of course, an Australian leather-hat.
Advice for Others
Be prudent, but not lacking in ambition. Keep in mind that you are carrying all your own gear, and that in reality, you need very little, provided it is of good quality. Leave behind most of those "just-in-case" items. Take your time, allow your body to adjust, and enjoy the time spent in nature, the walking, the scenery, and the people you meet.
