Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsI know walking each section on different trips would be very enjoyable. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed completing the track E2E on the one trip, because of the long distance challenge that the Bibb is, plus you are treated with a change in track character and charm with every section, as you go. Doing it SOBO and in spring was amazing, as the spring flowers are everywhere, making the track so beautiful. I also embraced the wet on the Pingerup Plains and had so much fun. Don't miss the opportunity. You won't regret the fun memories you'll make walking through the flooded plains!
Your Best Equipment
1. My shoes (Topo Athletic Traverse - like trail runners) as you can walk through water and they drain as you walk and dry so quickly! 2. Hiking poles. Could not imagine walking the distance without them as they save my knees on the descents, whilst carrying the weight of a pack.
Advice for Others
You've heard this before, ..., but as you're walking 1000kms, as you're packing and buying food, remember that if you want to move quickly, go as light as you can. Otherwise, just take your time on track and enjoy!
