Your Story or Advice for Others

General Comments
It was an amazing journey and I learnt so much. So glad I did it!

Your Best Equipment
Water proof pants and jacket for the torrential rain I encounted. Thermal liner for my sleeping bag Crocs for around camp and hiking through lots of long water puddles

Your Worst Equipment
Hiking bag waterproof cover didn't really work well. Ended up covering hiking pack with trash bags then the pack liner over the top

Advice for Others
Take Crocs and large bin bag liners

Your Experience

• Availability of information: Fair - Some information on website was incorrect - intersecting roads not in correct order on distance calculator, roads on hard copy maps were not correct (some were not printed), distances varied between maps and distance calculator, track closures and diversions were not updated and some had incorrect information
• Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Great - Wild pig was a bit scary and stepping over snakes!

Favourite Section
Denmark to Albany. The ocean views, beaches and shorter days nearing the end.

Highlight of your trip
The hikers I met along the way. Particularly the week we spent between Collie and Donnelly River Village
