Track Towns and Supplies
- How many days did you stay in Track Towns? 6
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? No
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsTrying to complete the whole end to end unsupported by carrying all my food the whole way. Was possible but with old injuries I had to stop in towns to rest up. Failed to complete in one go but after 3rd attempt (section hike, 200km, 500km, 300km) - had finished the 1000km
Your Best Equipment
Poncho - was a blanket, a rain coat, hammock and sleeping bag in one
Your Worst Equipment
Tent - not big enough to get changed in comfortably
Advice for Others
Doing a unsupported walk is challenging in itself but the sense of achievement when completed is something you cannot explain but you do need to train yourself to carry 32kg if doing a hut a day (which I was aiming for and/or below 32km)
