Track Towns and Supplies

• Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? No
• Great resupply in towns along the way. No need to send packages, you can make do with the towns. The first section to Dwellingup was a 8 1/2 day food carry and more than doable (the longest food carry section). Information centers were great for gas and dehydrated meals.

Your Story or Advice for Others

General Comments
Relax and enjoy the journey and do it your way. Walk through the water on the Pingerup plains. Dont worry about trying to go around them, just embrace the wet feet. Just take lots of dry socks with you. We had no issue with snakes but we did get lots of ticks along the coastal section, especially where it was overgrown. We wore long pants and tucked them into our socks and so had no problems (as they were orange they were easy to see). Its a lot more uphill and down then we expected and some of it is pretty steep. Very doable but just something to be aware of.

Your Best Equipment
Dry socks :) My new Neve down quilt (Waratah) and my new Exped sleeping mat. My Mont hiking pants - dried almost instantaneously (well pretty quickly anyway)

Your Worst Equipment
My old Montbell waterproof pants that had started to disintegrate.

Advice for Others
Use the shelters if you can and cowboy camp. Ignore the negative nancies that inflate the challenges.
