Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsThis walk was absolutely one of the best things I’ve ever done. The peacefulness of walking through and being present in such beautiful landscapes for so long is something I’m really really going to miss :)
Your Best Equipment
Probably my trekking poles - this was the first walk I used them all the time and it actually made a massive difference! Especially if I got little injuries or niggles, I probably couldn’t have kept going without them some days.
Your Worst Equipment
My head torch… something I should have replaced but didn’t! It was just very old and rarely very bright, but a nice final hurrah for it I guess! Made the early morning starts in the dark not always the most illuminated.
Advice for Others
I would say embrace being a little lonely and uncomfortable in the beginning - being alone most of the time was an adjustment, but after a week or two I really loved it! It became one of the things I enjoyed the most about the trail.

So hard to choose! I loved the plains, so Northcliffe to Walpole, but also the tingle forests and coast.
Highlight of your trip
I think the highlight was probably a combination of all of the people I met along the way, as well as looking out from some of the granite dome summits and kind of realising how far I’d walked.
