Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsNB - for my photo - Gwen took one of me on my last day on the track when I ran into her and a group of "friends" working on the track I was looking for a long walk a couple of years ago and found the Bibbulmun Track. I had time to do the 400km from Pemberton to Albany so booked my flights from the Mid North Coast of NSW. As soon as she heard what I was doing my friend Tess decided she didn't want to miss out and so joined me at Walpole to walk the final 200kms. A couple of years later and I was ready to do the rest of the walk so off I set on my own again in August 2013 and finished in Pemberton just over 4 weeks later in a heavy thunderstorm. My end to end finish was highlighted by a power blackout in Pemberton from when I entered the town til late that night (so much for the much looked forward to fresh food celebratory meal!)
Your Best Equipment
My walking poles and my kindle. Oh, and my PLB which stopped my friends and family worrying about me
Advice for Others
Keep your packing simple and as light as possible but don't forget the chocolate!!!!!

Your Experience
Walpole to Albany was definitely my favourite section but I had many great moments in the Northern part of the walk
Highlight of your trip
I loved the high mountain top experiences. The most memorable was standing on a high granite knoll and an eagle rising from beneath right in front of me! Also had great experiences of an emu walking past the shelter a few metres away unaware of my presence, meeting other trekkers and, of course, eating in the track towns.
