Track Towns and Supplies
- How many days did you stay in Track Towns? 2
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? No
- I only resupplied in towns, and did no food drops ahead of time! I found the resupplies in town to be more than sufficient (I have no dietary requirements). Bigger towns had plenty of options, smaller ones not so much, but I never went hungry!
- Dwellingup
- Balingup
- Donnelly River Village
- Pemberton
- Albany
Your Story or Advice for Others
Your Best EquipmentA pair of trail running gaiters, especially for the coastal section in the south. They kept sand out of my shoes and made a huge difference over long days on the soft track. It meant I didn’t get a single blister the entire time (combined with Injinji Toe Socks).
Your Worst Equipment
My trusty old Katadyn water filter. I didn’t replace it before starting, and it got a hole in the first week. I ended up switching to Aquatabs at Walpole, which worked fine for the rest of the trip, except at Beavis Hut with it's funky tasting water.
Advice for Others
Every gram counts! A lighter pack makes everything on trail more enjoyable, from climbs to long days to simple morale. Be ruthless about what you carry and question anything “just in case.”

Cold swims!! Soo many beautiful swimming spots on the beach, in the rivers and dams. They were the highlight of my day.
