Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsJust do it, but hike your own hike. Don't pace yourself against others, and stop often to simply enjoy the moments.
Your Best Equipment
I was happy with all my gear, but my Osprey Exos pack I found to be very light, allowed airflow between my back and pack, and could carry all I needed.
Your Worst Equipment
Nothing of note.
Advice for Others
Pack light with only a few creature comforts. Every part of your body will be grateful.

Your Experience
- Availability of information: Excellent - I always carried a compass, but given the maps and guides I never needed it. The information on the website regarding groups, diversions and various contact numbers is very good.
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Good - Seeing my first Echidna on the track was great. Seeing 7 large snakes in one day between Sandpatch and Albany, not so great.
Giants through to Walpole.
Highlight of your trip
Because I was section hiking, I had the opportunity to keep adjusting my foods and gear, so for the last two multi day sections my food and gear was well dialled in, and it made the experience so much better. So that couple with staggering views of tall Karris and Oceans did it for me.
